Week I: "W" in W.O.R.K. is for WILLING
Ephesians 6:7 Rendering service with a good will as to the Lord not to man,
The United Fellowship New Members Ministry aims to foster individual and collective growth, participation, and stability among its new members, leading to long-term and generational church membership and a life committed to Jesus Christ. “We see you in the future and you look better! “
We believe that one cannot automatically assume that others know what it is that you want them to do, how you want them to do it, or when you want them to do it…until you have properly informed, trained or taught them. This is why we are making sure that you are provided with an opportunity to become informed and to get an understanding of United Fellowship FGBC.
We believe that the New Member Orientation is important and vital to help us understand our W.O.R.K. model and mentality, as well as helping to understand the very essence of the United Fellowship FGBC family. Therefore, we would like to begin at the beginning of New Membership with this New Member Orientation session. We aim for all members to clearly understand UFCs purpose, roles, goals, and vision.
In these last and evil days, it is necessary that we be on one accord and work together to effectively destroy the works of the enemy and to build up the kingdom of God here on earth.
Matthew 28:19- 20 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
This is the ultimate will of God! And God wants to use the United Fellowship, FGBC like never before! That is why we say, “We have work to do” which begins with 1st glorifying God and 2ndly edifying the people of God. This is accomplished through commitment, faith, and various actions.
Week II: "0" in W.O.R.K. is for OBEDIENT
2 John And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands
The “O” stands for obedient. We are discussing obedience (if it be the will of Almighty God). Being obedient involves responding quickly and positively to changing social and economic patterns. It is about your attitude and the speed of your responsiveness. At UFC we challenge ourselves to react swiftly and positively to these changes with compassion and understanding. Taking the time to listen and move wisely with wisdom when helping our members and the community. We, at UFC, strive to be responsive to the needs of the people.
Week III: "R" in W.O.R.K. is RESPONSIVE
Ezekiel 36: 26 And 1 will give a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.
The “R” in W.O.R.K. stands for Responsive. It involves addressing the needs of individuals both locally and internationally by providing missions, food, toys, immunization, giveaways, community lighting, neighborhood cleanups, school supplies, men’s support groups, scholarships, and our upcoming community center services.
Week IV: "K" in W.O.R.K. is KNOWLEDGEABLE
Proverbs 18:15 An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
The “K” in W.O.R.K. stands for knowledge. We are a knowledgeable church. Knowledge is an acquaintance with truths or principles and understanding. We ascertain knowledge through regular attendance to church, worship experiences, weekly Bible Study, Sunday School, training workshops and personal study time dedicated to reading the Word of God.
